Something ...

LOVE!
... that I will never stop loving! Grayson's curls. This little man's hair is the talk of the day, everyday, no matter where we are. And although I sometimes get annoyed with perfect strangers approaching us and touching my son's head, I do agree in that it IS gorgeous hair. Each and every time I hear these comments, I hope in my mind that my Mom is looking down upon those locks and smiling. Thanks for the Red gene, Madre! We love and miss you so much.

Weather Weirdness

sunny days (and rain, and hail, and snow...)
I always look forward to weekends and Tuesdays for my days off with G. When the weather cooperates, especially in the winter, it's a plus! But... Oregon's weather is so strange! Yesterday was messy... Rain, wind, rain, and more rain (I was glad to be inside working!). This morning we woke up to SNOW! [Or as Grayson calls it "No" with an added nasal-y sound at the beginning (Hh-no?).] Went about our morning by attending our usual Mr. Ben music show at our Swap n Play {{read: did some dancing to live kid music and chased around a bunch of toddlers}}, had a little playdate after @ friends Charlie and Tucker's, stopped by Whole Foods for a couple things, and then headed home in the drizzle mist of our 'normal' winter rain. And now.... You see our sky just outside our side door. WTH?!
The weather here has never really bothered me. But Geesh! Make up your mind! I had rain boots on this morning ... And this afternoon will be walking to our library storytime in the sunshine with shades on!
I guess the moral of this (very random post) is you can never predict the weather here! Always have a hood and some cute sunglasses :-)

Big boy!

Victory for MSU!

Michigan State basketball defeated Ohio State today to become Big Ten Champions! My favorite time of year ... March Madness begins later this week. This MSU team has a great chance to do really, really well this tourney, and reminds me of the fun times I experienced back in 2000 when they last won the entire tournament to become the champs!

Go Green!

Happy New Year!

Gray all bundled up on New Years Day enjoying the park (Mama enjoying the sun). Happy 2012!

Lil Techie

Grayson is *obsessed* with the iPad these days. We have to hide it otherwise he climbs onto the couch to find it (often kept behind it on the windowsill) ...

Here he is enjoying a little father/son/angry bird time :)
